Emergency First Aid Response in an Education and Care Setting

This course is for those working in child care, schools or any other child based industry that may have a high-risk of anaphylaxis and asthma as well as common injuries and resuscitation. The Australian Children’s Education & Care Authority (ACECQA) has endorsed this course as meeting their requirements for anaphylaxis, asthma, and first aid training.

Things to Consider

Mallee First Aid is dedicated to providing as many people as possible with the skill and knowledge of First Aid , NO student will be excluded from a class due to age, mobility or any other physical or mental challenge that they might have.  BUT to receive an accredited Statement of Attainment (a certificate) a participant must:

  • Be 14 + years old

  • Have literacy and numeracy competencies equivalent to National Reporting System (NRS) Level 2. (If you require any assistance with reading, writing or please contact Mallee First Aid prior to the course so that we can arrange assistance if required.)

  • To obtain a certificate you must have a Verified USI number (you can apply for one of these during the registration process)

  • Complete the online registration and the online theory prior to the face to face session (if computers are not your thing then please contact us for alternative arrangements, this may include increased course times and increase in prices)

 

  • Be able to complete the practical CPR component on the floor.  (We can provide you with assistance to get up and down. Please advise the trainer if you need special assistance.)

  • Courses opened to the general public are conducted at various sites around the Mallee.  (See course dates)
